Producer/Director Phillip Byrd has been creating award-winning performance television programs for 30 years. He earned a national prime-time Emmy award for Wolf Trap Presents the Kriov: Swan Lake, and has received numerous CPB awards, festival awards, and regional Emmy awards. Prior to founding Brandenburg Productions, he served as Executive Producer for Performance Programing with the Bravo cable network, and worked at public broadcasting stations in Tallahassee, Atlanta, and Milwaukee. A trombonist in the Fighting 28th Army Band of Ft. Ord, CA, and today a member of the Montclair NJ Community Band, he holds BA and MA degrees from the University of Denver.
Associate Director and Editor Janet Shapiro had 12 years' experience in the classical recording industry before co-founding Brandenburg Productions. She established the recorded music division of Advent Corporation and held management positions at London, Vanguard and Pro Arte Records. A devoted, if intermittent, choral singer, she sang with Tanglewood Festival Chorus for five seasons, as well as with Dessoff Choirs, New York Choral Society, New Jeresy Oratorio Society, and choruses at Harvard and MIT. She holds a BA degree in music from Brandeis University.
